The Ultimate Autumn Bucket List For Students

Table of contents
Time truly does fly when you’re studying at university - it’s important to make the most of it! With darker nights and colder weather settling in, it can be easy to feel a little uninspired for fun things to do in Autumn. Don’t worry - HYBR has got you covered. Here are some of our best seasonal ideas for making the most of your first term at university!
Host a study sesh in your local coffee shop
If you really want to get into the Autumnal spirit, what better place to start than your local coffee shop? Switch up your usual study spots by inviting some of your course mates for a cosy study sesh, complete with some seasonal drinks. It’s a great way to get some work done, catch up with friends and (most importantly) escape any cold, drizzly weather. Pumpkin spiced latte, anyone?

Spooky movie nights
Horror films might not be for everybody, but when you need a little break from nights out and studying, hosting a movie night with your friends can be great fun. It’s a simple but fun way to celebrate the spooky season - click here for a list of Halloween classics to get you started. If you’re not a fan of horror movies, that’s totally okay! Stick on your favourite drama, rom-com or action flick, grab some popcorn and enjoy a night in with your friends.

Visit a pumpkin patch
Fancy getting off campus and getting some really great pictures for the ‘gram? Why not visit a local pumpkin patch? Make a trip of it - get some food, handpick your own pumpkins to take home and carve, and host a spooky photoshoot with your friends! Your student house will look very festive with your hand-carved pumpkins placed around the living room. Pop a tea light in them to make your very own spooky lantern! If there are any budding chefs amongst you, you might even be able to use the insides to make some tasty pumpkin soup.

Get dressed up for a Halloween party!
It’s time to get creative! Celebrate Halloween in style with a fancy-dress party. You don’t need expensive costumes - get crafty with some makeup and old clothes, and see what you can come up with! Bonus points for group costumes. Here’s some inspiration from Cosmopolitan.

Take advantage of spooktacular on-campus events
Don’t forget to check out what Autumnal events your University has planned! There are bound to be Halloween parties, bar crawls or firework displays planned throughout October and November. Enjoy it!
