Our Story
So, what inspired the creation of Hybr?
Our founder, Hannah Chappatte, was a student at the University of Bristol and experienced first-hand the anxiety, confusion, and panic of renting as a student. You know the drill: fights between students and landlords, stolen deposits, drop-outs caused by housing concerns, and tears over unknown fines.
Living with friends at university is supposed to be the best time of young adults’ lives, yet so many dread having to find a house. So, Hannah ditched the grad scheme route, and just after graduating launched Hybr, the solution she wished she had at university.

Hannah started Hybr to give students the experience they deserve when they’re finding student accommodation. The current process is clunky, scary, and nearly always puts cash in front of humans. We look after students, taking care of them from their first-year, up until they graduate and become young professionals.
